Behind the Seams:

The (Unofficial) 2026 Trend Report

By: Jules Boyd|Published On: 1.23.2026

We're seeing these trends in your future...

Take it from Team FP: 2026 fashion is about to get a little more whimsical. We're talking more-than-oversized silhouettes, accessories for your accessories, lace silhouettes reminiscent of your grandmother's tablecloth, and a certain fixation on all things jelly. (Yes, jelly.)

Ready for a fun look ahead at what's trending for 2026? Let's dive in.

THE LOW-RISE RENAISSANCE

Low-rise wide leg jeans styled with bohemian top

Don't run away in horror just yet. We're making low-rise silhouettes wearable in the best way… even though I still have a soft spot for the low-rise, ultra-tight skinny jeans of the early 2000s.

If that's not your jam, fair–we're approaching the below-the-bellybutton cuts in a fresh, 2026 way. The Scout Wide-Leg Jeans are the perfect low-slung look with a drapey, effortlessly cool wide leg, while the Jinx Low Rise Crop Jeans have a slimmer look with an easy-to-style straight cut.

See? Low-rise doesn't have to be scary. Trust us, you'll have a pair in your cart at some point this year.

FRAMES THAT TAKE FLIGHT

Oversized aviator sunglasses

We're looking at 2026 through the biggest lens possible. Oversized sunnies, specifically aviators, are about to be your new go-to accessory.

The easiest, fun way to add a little dimension to your look, throw on the Cruise Oversized Aviator Sunglasses or the Sunday Afternoon Aviator Sunglasses, and get ready to turn heads. In a good way, promise.

SKINCARE OF THE FUTURE

Futuristic skincare devices and LED masks

2025 saw the emergence of techy, viral products that seemingly promise all that and a bag of chips. From futuristic facials courtesy of the TheraFace Red Light Mask and TheraFace Depuffing Wand to a salon-ready blowout to medspa-grade steamers, we're seeing a huge rise in technology with a skincare focus.

(They might sound too good to be true, but after putting the red light therapy mask to the test, I was a convert.) So, treat yourself and make your next self-care night extra special–we'll definitely be seeing more products like this throughout the year.

MAKEUP AS AN ACCESSORY

Lip balm holders and beauty charms

Yes, we've gotten to the point where our accessories deserve a friend. And that's okay, because while they're utterly charming, they're usually quite practical.

The Lanolips Phone Lip Balm Holder is designed to perfectly hold your favorite lippie to your most-used accessory: your phone. Another thing we've been seeing is lip balm charms–so you can attach your lips' BFF to your keys, wallet, work tote, and beyond.

I know I can't live without my lip balm–I carry a minimum of three types at all times–so we're definitely just getting started on this trend.

THE ART OF THE DOILY

Delicate lace cape and layered fashion

We're predicting a lace embrace in a big way this year. I know, I know, "how many times can we reinvent the wheel with lace?" It's all about outfitting and proportions.

We're predicting layers such as capes or bed jackets to be an essential spring layer, while lingerie-inspired slips are having a big moment over denim. It's the perfect sheer touch to let the rest of your outfit peek through.

READY FOR THIS JELLY?

Colorful jelly shoes and translucent accessories

We're seeing the jelly trend stretch to everything from viral beauty products to colorful, gummy-inspired jewelry. Something about the juicy, translucent design just draws us like moths to a flame.

We can't forget shoes–the original jelly trend–now with bold silhouettes like these statement clogs. We're even seeing the trend in the self-tanning world with the Luna Bronze Self Tanning Jelly. It's safe to say this trend has a guaranteed spot on our 2026 bingo card.

NEW HEIGHTS FOR HEMLINES

Trendy balloon pants with unique hemlines

As the double entendre of this header suggests, we're seeing a ton of trends in bottoms: from barely-there micro silhouettes to new, exaggerated denim shapes with unique hem details.

We're loving curved, tulip-inspired shapes and bubble designs in the pants category because they just make getting dressed that much more fun. On the other hand, ultra-mini micro shorts are definitely growing more popular, especially with festival outfitting and the resurgence of boho.

We're excited to see how Team FP tackles styling here.
